Introducing the Mental Health United – Supporting You Fund

We are delighted to announce that we will be running the Mental Health United – Supporting You Fund throughout January for a trial period. At the end of January the fund will then be reviewed and if successful implemented across the remainder of 2022.

What is the Supporting You Fund?

At some point in our lives we all need a little helping hand. Whether it’s losing your job, an unexpected mishap at home that leaves you short for a month or two, or anything else that life throws at you, maintaining mental wellbeing is key.

Playing sport can have a huge impact on that, and the Supporting You Fund is designed to keep people coming to Football Therapy sessions even when times are tough.

Who can apply?

Anyone who feels they need a helping hand! All you need to do is submit this contact form and state the time period you would like to be considered for the Supporting You Fund. All submissions will be kept private and confidential. Once your application has been processed you’ll be contacted by the team and allocated a number of available sessions.

All we ask is that once your personal situation improves you remove yourself from the Supporting You Fund so we can continue to support others.

Who has donated to this fund?

Over the Christmas period we received five generous donations from our friends at The Victoria in Portslade to help us set this up. We’d like to take this opportunity to thanks everyone there for their ongoing support and selflessness in donating this money. Everyone involved asked for nothing in return, not even to advertise their business. They purely believe in the work we are doing and to give as many people as possible the opportunity to play football.
